Family Support Services
Family Support Services seeks to serve individuals and families, who are experiencing challenges of poverty, by providing emergency assistance, case management, community referrals and food pantry services.
SERVICES OFFERED:
- Case Management – working with individuals to help them access needed services, advocate on their behalf and help them problem-solve.
- Empowering Families - 12 month enrollment period required.
- *Food Pantry – open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- *Community Referrals – these referrals could be for food, clothing, counseling, vision, dental, health, etc.
- *Mental Health Counseling – Provided by Community Partners
- **Winter Assistance Fund – provides emergency financial assistance for utility bills and occurs each January through May.
- **FEMA – provides emergency financial assistance for rent, mortgage or utility bills and occurs each March/April through December.
- **Holiday Assistance – Toy Shop for children occurs each December; Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets distributed; United Christmas Service through the United Way with Senior Citizens; Adopt-a-Family, which allows individuals, families, business, organizations, etc. to anonymously provide gifts for an entire family (application process start in October for those in need).
*Picture ID and Social Security Cards are required for all members of the household.
