Foundations for the Future

Foundations for the Future is the core of the workforce development program at MLKCC. This program’s goal is to transition participants from an unstable future to self-sufficiency with meaningful employment and strategies to achieve long-term personal and professional goals. This program provides life skills such as job readiness and financial literacy; education and remediation to pass the GED or testing to qualify for job training; and, in partnership with Indiana Safety Professionals (ISP), job training/certification in  First Aid/CPR services, and OSHA-10 certification, AED (heart defibrillator machine), materials management (fork lift training).
