SERVICE AREAS

Family Support Services - Seeks to serve individuals and families, who are experiencing the challenges of poverty, by providing emergency assistance, case management, community referrals and food pantry services.

Second Time Around - The Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program responds to a growing need in our community offering grandfamilies a safe place to address issues related to kinship care. We help connect our families to people who can provide resources and information to assist this specific challenge. Most importantly, our grandparents do not have to face the uncertainty and stress of parenting the second time around alone.

Foundations for the Future - Provides assessment, resume preparation, interviewing, budgeting and time management skills, Microsoft Office software and keyboarding skills. Facilitating resume posting, online applications and job searching for our clients. Coaching clients to remove personal barriers in interpersonal relationships, anger management, coping skills that leads to self sufficiency for the individuals and their families.

Youth - Provide the youth and our community with Creative Activities that prevent and/or intervene delinquent activity in schools, homes and in the neighborhoods. We have incorporated Five Star Programs and projects that are proven to decrease negative behavior and increase self-confidence, self-respect and respect for others, which leads to an overall better morale in the community.

Family Health Initiative - This program is designed to empower individuals and families in our communities to make healthy lifestyle choices, by offering education, information and prevention programs. Health indicator areas of focus are: Tobacco Cessation, Diabetes, Cancer, Heart Disease, Hypertension, HIV-AIDS, Obesity and Mental Health.
