Youth Services
MLKCC provides year round programming to youth grades k-8 in order to provide a safe nurturing environment where students are provided with integrated educational, health, safety, cultural and recreational services in order to be well-educated, productive and contributing citizens and leaders. Transportation is provided from 5 area schools to the Center each day. Throughout the school year students are at the center until seven in the evening and are able to have dinner, work on homework, receive tutoring, participate in community programs through Boy Scouts, Girls Inc, and other partners. In the summer, MLKCC serves youth with academic programs, physical fitness, on site and community based enrichment activities as well as life skill programs that address violence prevention, bullying, communication skills, financial literacy, and social skills.
